OLD BUSINESS:

General Membership Meeting to be held on January 25th, 2011

Tone will be very important

Will serve as our membership drive

Business to include the ratification of the by-laws for the FOLB Foundation

1.  Motion passed to keep FOLB the main structure with the Foundation as a subsidiary for appropriate fundraising and other tax exempt projects.  A Separate accounting system and checking account will be required.  The Foundation can use the current tax ID number.  The two corporations have separate corporate ID.

2.  Dues structure  discussion:  $20 annually per individual; $30 annually per

couple.   IF you belong to one of the three golf organizations, you

may elect to join FOLB for only $5 additional dollars.  If you do NOT

belong to LGA, MGA or SSMGA, then membership to FOLB is $20.

This membership “break” is to reflect the partnership among the

three  golfing groups.  This $5 would not be tax exempt if a Bag Tag is ordered.

3.  Bag Tags:  for the $5 membership fee, a bag tag will be given.  The FOLB

design will be on one side.  Gary Neffendorf has been approached

about putting the Lady Bird logo on the reverse side along with

a place for the member’s name.  Lee Bodenhamer will get back to the

board with a cost estimate.  We prefer to buy locally, if possible.

3.  How to develop esprit de corps within the Lady Bird golfing community:

Lee Bodenhamer presented the idea of an annual fall golf tournament to benefit a             public charity;  it should be organized and “manned” by the membership of LGA, MGA                and SSMGA.   With the support and blessing of the new D.O.G., of course, this             tournament would benefit a public charity each year (2011 will benefit “breast cancer”   in memory of the wife of Mark Seitz).  This project would be a win-win for the three             golfing groups and also for the new D.O.G. who could bring his “resources” to bear on      the project.   Jimmy Lukacs told us that the D.O.G. will be hired this week!

With the new D.O.G. coming aboard within the next month, we felt   comfortable             making and passing the following motion:

FOLB will dedicate itself to a public charity golf tournament in the fall of 2011.  We             should initiate contact with the 3 organizations and the D.O.G. as soon as is            possible.  He       could certainly bring his resources to bear on the event in a very positive and public             manner. (It was suggested that this first fall charity tournament be dedicated to the             memory of  golfer Mark Seitz’s wife who passed away with breast cancer. )

4.  Leonard brought up his power point presentation highlighting many of the

accomplishments made in 2010 by FOLB .  It was decided to invite City Manager Gary               Neffendorf to introduce the new D.O.G. to the membership on the 25th.

Leonard thanked Anna Marie, Jim, Lee  and Joe for joining us.

A motion to adjourn was made and passed; the meeting adjourned at 6:50 pm.

Respectfully submitted:

Judy Chase, Secretary
